Early Beginnings
Technology by Design was started in 1998 by Brian and Deanna Ginkens. At that time, there was only one other technology integrator in Central Iowa market. Brian and Deanna saw the need for a small business that was personal and relationship-based, so they started the company out of their garage. Since 1998 Technology by Design has grown by leaps and bounds but we still strive to be a company that sets the benchmark for that elusive small-business feeling, while also providing world-class products and services. Custom Solutions
Our sales and design staff work hand-in-hand with customers to understand their Home Automation, Video/Audio Distribution, Shades, Security, and Surveillance needs in their new home or existing home. Each system we design is custom-built to your specifications and can to accommodate nearly any budget. We can integrate as few as two sub-systems (such as lighting and A/V in a theater room), or as many sub-systems as you can think of. Your Technology by Design consultant will provide you with an all-inclusive proposal and a detailed scope of work based on your desires and budget.
